COVID UPDATE

As the coronavirus situation continues to evolve we are monitoring the situation daily and as we do with any unusual event we will continue to monitor guidance from all relevant public health and government agencies and adjust business operations and polices as needed.  We take the health and safety of our employees seriously and have taken a number of preventive measures to maintain a healthy environment for both our employees and those working very hard to protect our shared border.

CANADA BOUND:

August 9th Border Changes American citizens and permanent residents of the United States, who currently reside in the U.S. and who qualify as fully vaccinated travellers, will be able to enter Canada for discretionary travel starting .

Unless eligible, other foreign nationals can’t enter Canada at this time.

  • To be eligible to enter Canada for discretionary travel on the basis of vaccination status, travellers must use the ArriveCAN app or web portal. Travellers must ensure that mandatory requirements are met prior to departing for Canada. 
  • In addition to receiving a full series of a vaccine authorized by the Government of Canada, fully vaccinated travellers must also: 
    • provide COVID-19-related information electronically through ArriveCAN (app or web portal) including proof of vaccination prior to arrival in Canada;
    • meet the pre-entry testing requirements;
    • be asymptomatic upon arrival;
    • Quarantine plan in case you don’t get the exemption;
    • and have a paper or digital copy of their vaccination documentation in English or French (or certified translation) ready to show a government official on request as evidence.

NIAGARA FALLS BRIDGE COMMISSION ELECTS 2021 OFFICERS - February 3, 2021
LEWISTON, NEW YORK - The Niagara Falls Bridge Commission (NFBC), the bi-national entity that owns and operates the Rainbow, Whirlpool Rapids and Lewiston-Queenston Bridges between Canada and the United States, elected its 2021 slate of officers during the Commission’s Annual General Meeting. Kathleen L. Neville of the State of New York was elected Chairperson, and Charles C. McShane of the Province of Ontario was elected Vice-Chairperson. In addition, Harry R. Palladino of the State of New York was elected Secretary, and Barton J. M. Maves of the Province of Ontario was elected Treasurer. Francis A. Soda of the State of New York, K. Geoffrey Topping of the Province of Ontario, and Michael J. Goodale of the Province of Ontario comprise the other members of the NFBC Board.  Read More

No other single factor contributes more to tourism growth - indeed the export trade economy overall - than the NFBC's three monumental linkages of concrete and steel. Niagara Falls crossings rank second only to Kennedy International as the busiest port of entry between the U.S. and Canada. If you are about to travel over Niagara's gorge, your vehicle will take one of about 7.2 million passages expected this year on NFBC bridges.
